Yamato has been making their famous tapioca-based paste since 1899.. it's a natural, earth-friendly starch paste that can be applied with the fingers.  Often used for delicate Japanese papers, it's ideal for bookbinding and crafts - dilute with water to refine the consistency as needed.  The long drying time allows for repositioning.  Acid-free, non-toxic - dries clear.  note: you will often see this paste referred to as "Yamato Nori"
